Text Amendment Request #TX-2010-01, initiated by Henderson County Planning staff on behalf of the the Henderson County Engineering Department. The request is to add a new use to Chapter 200A, Land Development Code to specifically regulate County Owned and Operated Solid Waste Facilities and to separate privately owned solid waste facilities from County owned facilities. The Technical Review Committee considered the request at its February 16, 2010 meeting (See Text Amendment Request #TX-2010-01 TRC Agenda Item) and provided a favorable recommendation with modifications. The Planning Board considered the request at its Feburary 16, 2010 meeting (See Text Amendment Request #TX-2010-01 Planning Board Agenda Item) and provide a favorable recommendation with TRC identified modifications.

The Board of Commissioners, at its March 1, 2010 meeting scheduled a Public Hearing for Monday, April 5, 2010, at 7:00 P.M. in the Board of Commissioners Meeting Room located in the Henderson County Historic Courthouse, at 1 Historic Courthouse Square, in Hendersonville, NC to consider the request (See Text Amendment Request #TX-2010-01 Board of Commissioners Public Hearing Agenda Item).

The Board of Commissioners, at its meeting on Monday, April 5, 2010 approved text amendment #TX-2010-01.
